Service Agreement
By using our garment alteration services, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Our services are provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). We maintain professional standards in all alteration work performed.
Service Scope
Our services include garment alterations, fitting adjustments, and related tailoring work. We assess each garment individually and provide recommendations based on fabric type, construction, and client preferences. All services are provided with due care and skill in accordance with Australian consumer protection laws.
Pricing and Payment
Pricing is determined based on the complexity and type of alterations required. We provide written quotes during consultation. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Payment is due upon collection of altered garments unless other arrangements are agreed upon in writing. We accept cash, EFTPOS, and major credit cards.
Service Timeline
We provide estimated completion times during consultation. Standard alterations typically take 3 to 5 business days. Rush services are available with adjusted timelines while maintaining quality standards. We'll notify you if there are any delays and provide updated completion dates.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about desired alterations and garment care instructions. Garments should be clean and in reasonable condition for alteration work to proceed effectively. Any pre-existing damage or fabric issues should be disclosed during consultation as they may affect alteration outcomes.
Australian Consumer Law Rights
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that they will be provided with due care and skill, be fit for purpose, and match any description we provide. If we fail to meet these guarantees, you may be entitled to remedies including repair, replacement, or refund. We comply with all applicable consumer protection laws.
Limitation of Liability
Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to the cost of the alteration service provided. We cannot be held responsible for outcomes due to fabric limitations, pre-existing garment conditions, or specifications that may not be achievable. We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by Australian law.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or NSW Fair Trading. We are committed to fair and transparent dispute resolution in accordance with Australian consumer protection standards.
